Anecdote about Kim Jong Il's Care for Workers' Health
Pyongyang, February 9 (KCNA) -- It happened one day in June 2010 when General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave field guidance to the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex.

After looking round several places of the complex equipped with ultra-modern facilities, he told officials to guide him to the workers' dormitory.

He looked at boiled rice, soup and various dishes on the table and said that there was too much salt in the worker's standard daily intake.

He said: "Whatever we do we should think first of the health of the workers. This is not the matter related to a few grams of salt.

Our workers are valuable treasures of the country as they devote themselves to it, single-mindedly following the party and thinking only of the interests of the revolution. No matter how much fertilizer is produced, they cannot substitute for the health of the workers."

The officials were deeply touched to hear his earnest advise that the richer the wealth for happiness grows, the higher spirit of service to the people the officials should cherish.
