The publication of the June 15 joint declaration turned the north-south relations of distrust and confrontation into those of "by Korean nation itself" for promoting reconciliation and unity and opened up the June 15 era of reunification. This proved that multilateral cooperation and exchange are the just way of developing the north-south relations and opening up a bright prospect for reunification and prosperity.

Cooperation and exchange are not the work for the interest of one side.

Consistent is the stand of the DPRK to drastically improve the north-south relations and achieve independent reunification, peace and prosperity by activating cooperation and exchange.

There is no doubt that the north-south relations of distrust and confrontation will turn into those of genuine confidence, reconciliation and cooperation if the south Korean authorities positively respond to the patriotic call and measures of the DPRK.

If they refuse cooperation with the north under the unreasonable conditions and pretence as now, out of narrow-mindedness, it will only deepen distrust and confrontation, much less repairing the north-south relations.

The north and the south can surely bring peace to this land and build a reunified thriving nation if they join hands. If all the Koreans work hard to resume the tour of Mt. Kumgang and Kaesong and promote multilateral cooperation and exchange, they can bring so much earlier the peace and reunification of the country.
