Koreans Should Pool Efforts for Reunification--Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- A bright prospect for peace, reunification and prosperity will open if Koreans from all walks of life in the north and the south and abroad struggle in unity with patriotism, said Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined article.

Whoever truly loves the country and the nation can never overlook the tragic division of the country forced by foreign forces and ensuing misfortune and pain, the article said, adding:

For the Koreans patriotism lies in devoting their all to the worthwhile struggle for country's peace and reunification, not in making spurious rhetoric.

The Korean nation can be likened to an organism which can not live divided. Reunification only would help them pave the way for carving out the nation's destiny.

The dynamic trend of the times toward independent reunification, peace and prosperity calls on all political parties, organizations and people in the north and the south and abroad to closely unite for the important work of the nation and subordinate everything to the cause of reunification irrespective of ism and partisan interests and strategy.

Unity of pro-reunification patriotic forces provides the might for smashing the challenge of anti-reunification forces. Unity is a key factor decisive of success or failure of the national reunification movement. This truth has already been proved by the history of the reunification movement that has lasted over six decades.
