Abolition of NSL Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- The Teachers Union in south Korea issued a statement urging the abrogation of the "National Security Law", an evil law against reunification and democracy, on Tuesday.

The statement noted that Choe Po Gyong, a teacher residing in South Kyongsang Province, was declared not guilty that day after being tried for three years on suspicion of violation of the NSL.

Choe had conducted education activities with grief at the division of the nation as well as desire for the students in the north and the south to lead a peaceful life in a reunified country, the statement said, adding: But the police and the prosecution searched Choe's house and office in February 2008 and took a legal action against this teacher by invoking the fascist law in August that year.

It demanded that the authorities stop their anachronistic crackdown on teachers' just education activities and reunification movement and abolish the NSL.
