Japanese Politician's Remarks on TW Program to Korean Schools Rebuffed
Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Nakano, minister in charge of "abduction issue" in Japan, said that Koreans schools in Japan should be excluded from the tuition-waiver program for senior high schools, according to a report.

At a press conference he said Korean schools can not be dealt as same as Japanese schools, claiming he has been "prudent" in this matter from the beginning, He even malignantly slandered the DPRK, saying that the Korean schools in Japan give education according to the DPRK's policy.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a bylined commentary observes in this regard:

Nakano is too mean to be called a politician. He has gone frantic, obsessed by anti-DPRK hysteria. His nonsense even goes against morality.

Korean students are the descendants of innocent Koreans who were forcibly drafted to Japan by the Japanese imperialists in the past.

Nakano also claimed that the Korean schools give "anti-Japanese education", an unreasonable charge. The Korean schools are legitimate national education institutions operated by the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) with the approval of the Japanese government.

The Japanese ultra-right reactionaries, however, have harshly cracked down upon the Korean schools under the patronage of the authorities.

What Nakano said is just a lie and fabrication and a grave political provocation against Chongryon. His remarks are also quite contrary to human rights and humanitarianism.

Such reckless ultra-right politician as Nakano would only make a mess of the Japanese politics, making it even more difficult to mend the DPRK-Japan relations.
