Lunar New Year Greetings to Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were placed before the statues of President Kim Il Sung across the country on the lunar New Year's Day.

Soldiers of the Korean People's Army and working people from all walks of life visited the statues with boundless reverence for the President.

Seen before the statue of the President on Mansu Hill was a floral basket from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and supreme commander of the KPA.

Floral baskets and flowers were laid before the statue by officials of party, armed forces and power organs, social organizations, ministries and national institutions, and institutions and enterprises at all levels in the city of Pyongyang, soldiers of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, working people from all walks of life, school youth and children and overseas Koreans staying in the socialist homeland.

They made deep bows to the statue in humble reverence for the President.

Meanwhile, floral baskets and flowers were placed before his statues in Pyongyang and local areas.
