Kim Jong Il Enjoys Lunar New Year's Concert
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il enjoyed with senior officials of the party, state and army the Lunar New Year's concert given by the Unhasu Orchestra.

When he appeared in the auditorium of the theatre, the audience enthusiastically welcomed him, offering him lunar New Year greetings in reflection of the profound reverence of all the service personnel and people.

He acknowledged the enthusiastic cheers of the audience and warmly congratulated them on the lunar New Year.

The concert included numbers like "The Korean Nation Is the Best", "Song of Friendship," "My Wife" and "We Love Thee Socialism".

The performers successfully represented the indomitable heroic spirit of the army and people of the DPRK dashing ahead like the wind toward the eminence of a thriving nation full of confidence of victory, optimism and joy, putting spurs to Songun Chollima, to the general offensive under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il.

He expressed great satisfaction with the excellent concert fully reflecting the desire and wishes of the Korean people the artistes of the orchestra presented by displaying the revolutionary creative spirit. He praised them for their successful performance.

He expressed expectation and belief that it would conduct dynamic performing activities in the future, too, to powerfully encourage the soldiers and people of the DPRK in their struggle to put up the plate of a powerful nation at the gate of the dignified Songun Korea.

The audience included senior party, state and army officials.
