S. Korean Authorities' Crackdown on Teacher Flayed
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Jaju Minbo, an internet newspaper of south Korea, issued a commentary on Jan. 28 denouncing the authorities' suppression.

The commentary accused more than 10 investigators of the National Intelligence Service of conducting a search operation against the lodging quarters and office room of Kim Hyong Gun, teacher affiliated to the south Korean Teachers Union.

Recalling that he was subject to the authorities' crackdown on charge that he conducted education in issues of national reunification, the commentary added that not content with this, the hooligans committed such action against him under the absurd pretext that an article posted on his internet homepage was considered as a violation of the "National Security Law."

But what was on his homepage was an article calling on the south and the north to pool efforts to achieve reunification and exalt the dignity of the nation, the commentary pointed out.

The repressive racket kicked up by the Intelligence Service, taking issue with the article, is aimed to suppress the progressive organization and its members active for reunification and help the conservative ruling forces prolong their remaining days.

The conservative ruling forces are bound to face a stern judgment by history and the nation as they get frantic with the crackdown upon the people, even blaming the activities to let them know about the true desire for reunification, concluded the commentary.
