Kim Jong Il's Birthday Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Events were held abroad to celebrate February 16, the birthday of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

They included a meeting in Poland and lectures in Guinea between January 21 and 26.

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Poland-Korea Association said that Kim Jong Il has wisely led the Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving nation by creditably carrying forward the cause of President Kim Il Sung.

The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in Conakry, Guinea noted in a lecture titled "Traces of Devoted Service" that it is quite natural that Kim Jong Il is boundlessly respected and revered by the people for his devoted services for the country and the people.

The chairman of the Guinean Society for the Study of the Juche Literary Idea said in a lecture titled "Time of Great Man" that the DPRK would show the world its new appearance as a reunified thriving nation before long thanks to the precious time Kim Jong Il spent for dedicating himself to the country and its people.
