Tribute to Kim Chaek, Revolutionary Martyr, Paid
Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of Kim Chaek, a revolutionary martyr, at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Monday on the 60th anniversary of his death.

Seen there was a wreath from Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Choe Yong Rim, Kim Yong Chun, Yang Hyong Sop and other officials of party, armed forces and power organs, ministries and national institutions, soldiers of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, officials of education organs, bereaved families of revolutionary martyrs and working people in the City of Pyongyang.

Placed before the bust were wreaths in the name of the WPK Central Committee and the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK.

Also laid with bouquets were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, ministries and national institutions, KPA units and party and power organs and universities in the city.

The participants paid a silent tribute to the memory of Kim Chaek.

Laid before his statues in Kim Chaek City, North Hamgyong Province and at Kim Chaek Air Force University, too, were wreaths in the name of local party and power organs, KPA units, industrial establishments and others.
