US-S. Korea Urged to Respond to Dialogue with DPRK
Pyongyang, January 30 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, an Internet newspaper of Koreans in the United States, on Jan. 26 posted an article urging the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to come out for dialogue and negotiations for peace on the Korean Peninsula.

The article said that the situation on the peninsula is so tense that it is standing at the crossroads of war and peace due to the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.

If the hostile relations between the DPRK and the U.S. and those between the north and the south of Korea persist in the Korean Peninsula and they lead to military clashes and a war, it will be only Koreans who will suffer from them, the article held, and went on:

In connection with this situation, the north proposed opening north-south high-level military talks for defusing the tension on the peninsula and then the spokesman for its Foreign Ministry issued a statement.

The article urged the U.S. and the south Korean authorities to lend an ear to the voices calling for peace and immediately respond to dialogue and negotiations with the north.
