Inclusion of Korean Schools in Tuition Waiver Program Urged
Pyongyang, January 28 (KCNA) -- Japanese citizens and Korean residents in Japan are continuing their solidarity struggle demanding the inclusion of Korean schools in Japan in tuition waiver program.

The Network Aichi Demanding the Application of Tuition-free Program to Korean Schools called an emergency meeting in Nagoya City on Jan. 15.

Speakers at the meeting charged that the Japanese prime minister stopped the procedure for applying the program to Korean schools. This is evidently a discriminative act and a violation of human rights, they said.

They urged the Japanese government to include the Korean schools in the program as soon as possible.

The meeting adopted a request calling for the immediate application of the program to the Korean schools.

Students of Aichi Korean Senior High School conducted information activities that day.

The Okayama International Exchange Centre gave a lecture on the inclusion of Korean schools in the tuition waiver program on Jan. 19.

The participants expressed wrath at the national discrimination by the Japanese government, declaring that they will fight it out for inclusion of Korean schools in the program.

Then they adopted a written request to the prime minister, the chief Cabinet secretary and the minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of Japan.
