US-S. Korea Anti-DPRK War Moves Flayed -- Minju Joson
Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson, a major newspaper of the DPRK, condemned the recent U.S.-south Korea secret talks in south Korea as a dangerous confab for a war against the DPRK, which might aggravate the situation of the Korean Peninsula.

Sometime ago U.S. Secretary of Defense Gates visited south Korea to have closed-door talks with its high-ranking officials over anti-DPRK scheme. At the military talks in particular, they discussed about how to stage the south Korea-U.S. combined military exercises and develop the "strategic alliance" over "additional provocation" by someone.

Commenting on this fact, a news analyst of the newspaper Tuesday said:

Last year the U.S. craftily promoted the military nexus between south Korea and Japan by means of involving Japan in the U.S.-south Korea joint military exercises and south Korea in the U.S.-Japan joint military exercises.

Its intention is to turn this military nexus into military alliance so as to use it for the implementation of the America policies towards the DPRK and Asia more effectively.

The reactionaries of Japan, too, are working hard to build the military alliance with south Korea at the instigation of the U.S.

Their ulterior intention is to contain other Asian countries, realize its ambition for reinvasion and become the leader of the region through the establishment of the military alliance with south Korea and the U.S.-led triangular military alliance involving Japan and south Korea.

The authorities of south Korea must be well aware of such intention of the U.S. and Japan.

Nevertheless, they have invited the military bosses of the U.S. and Japan from the outset of the year to have confabs for war against the DPRK. The facts show that they remain unchanged in the policy of dependence on outside forces and confrontation with their fellow countrymen, a treacherous policy.
