Eel Production on Increase
Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- Eel production is on the increase at the Taedonggang Eel Breeding Farm in the DPRK.

Its Manager Sin Kwang Ho, 54, said that his farm produced dozens of tons of more eel per hectare last year than the previous year.

The farm introduced such cutting-edge technique as breeding fish in ponds after mixing cold water with warm water and taking measures for preventing diseases, thus keeping 90 percent of the fish on the farm alive and raising the rate of its growth 11. 2 percent.

It also solved the problem of feed for eel in a unique manner.

The quality of eel bred on the farm is very good as it bans the use of any chemical substance.

It has ample conditions for fish breeding, including a modern feed processing room, indoor fish ponds, a combined control panel and a lab.

It succeeded in placing the water quality control on a CNC basis. All its production processes are put on a scientific and intensive basis.

Catering facilities are provided with eel produced by the farm.
