S. Korean Organizations Declare Action against Conservative Media
Pyongyang, January 24 (KCNA) -- More than 100 civic and public organizations of south Korea declared action against the conservative media, according to south Korean newspaper Hangyore on Jan. 17.

They include the Citizens Federation for Democratic Press and the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society.

They accused Chosun Ilbo, Choongang Ilbo and Dong-A Ilbo of working hard to mislead the public opinion and violate democracy, being granted special privilege by the authorities.

The social action for checking privatization of media and expanding impartiality of media grouping 49 media organizations clarified the will to expose misinformation released by the three newspapers. It declared they would launch the movement to boycott the conservative media along with the action to check evil law on media.

The Democratic Labor Party, the Democratic Party and other political parties and religious organizations would join the action, the organization said.
