Mt. Oga Reserve Area More than Doubled
Pyongyang, January 20 (KCNA) -- The Mt. Oga reserve area in a northern province of the DPRK more than doubled.

Officials and working people of the province and employees of the reserve management station planted at least 440,000 trees of 11 species in the thousands of hectares of expanded land.

They made the 1.2 hectare seedlings field and grew tens of thousands of seedlings of over 10 species including chestnut not previously grown in the area.

They also built 3 hectare arboretum with over 4,000 trees of 25 species so that visitors can observe all plants in the mountain without touring the area.

Wild animals and mountain birds are finding home in the area, a national heritage site, as forest gets deeper and edible and medicinal herbs more diversified.
