Korean Students Enjoy Winter Vacation
Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- All the students in the DPRK now enjoy their winter vacation.

Their activities during vacation are diverse. They pursue study and physical training programs and learn how to play musical instruments.

The libraries, schoolchildren's palaces, youth halls and schoolchildren's halls in various parts of the country are crowded with the students to acquire the general knowledge about basic science.

Wi Kum Ran, a 21-year old girl student of Pyongyang Han Tok Su University of Light Industry, when interviewed by a reporter at the Grand People's Study House, said:

My goal during vacation is to read a lot of books on the subject in which I measure and conduct more researches. I will work hard to become a talent to serve the country.

Ri Won Gyong, a 10-year old girl pupil of Pyongyang Munsin Primary School, was absorbed in the guitar practice at the Pyongyang Students and Children's Palace. "It is my wish to become a good guitarist," she said.

It is the important programs of the students to visit museums, exhibitions, zoos, botanical gardens, scenic spots and historic sites.

The playgrounds and parks are alive with students playing football, basketball and volleyball and other sports and enjoying kite-flying and other folk games.
