S. Korea Urged to Respond to DPRK-proposed Dialogue
Pyongyang, January 19 (KCNA) -- Overseas Koreans organizations urged the authorities of south Korea to affirmatively respond to the DPRK's proposal for dialogue.

The United Confederation of Koreans in Kamchatka Territory of Russia in a statement on Jan. 12 demanded that the south Korean authorities promptly drop their policy for confrontation with the DPRK.

The relations between the north and the south of Korea, which had favorably developed after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, have grown worst and the situation been driven to the brink of war, the statement noted, adding: It is entirely due to the confrontation policy of the present south Korean authorities.

The United Confederation of Koreans in Kyrgyzstan said in a statement on Jan. 15 that the DPRK's proposal to have wide-ranging dialogue and negotiations with political parties and organizations including the authorities of south Korea is the most realistic way.

All Koreans in Kyrgyzstan will work hard to implement the joint statement of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations, it said.
