US Nuclear Carrier Fleet's Entry into Northeast Asia Blasted
Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- A fleet of the U.S. nuclear-powered carrier Carl Vinson moved to the Northeast Asian region, away from its main duty to defend the U.S. mainland, said Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a by-lined commentary.

This dangerous development followed the recent junket of the U.S. Defense secretary to south Korea and Japan where he discussed "tightening alliance" and "boosting military cooperation", according to the commentary.

This reveals the U.S. stand and strategic attempt to escalate military pressure and blackmail against the DPRK and ignite a war against it any moment, the news analyst said, adding:

The U.S. responded to the DPRK's magnanimous and goodwill proposal for dialogue with introduction of the fleet in war exercises in waters off the Korean Peninsula.

The world is warmly supporting the proposal as realistic and practical one, hoping the military conflict and confrontation that may lead the peninsula to a war be ceased and peace and stability settle.

If the U.S. has the will to set right the abnormal situation on the Korean Peninsula, it should face up to the reality with reason and stop going against the trend of the times and mindset of people.

The U.S. acts quite contrary to its words like "peace" and "security".

It is answering the desire of the world peace-loving people for dialogue and peaceful atmosphere in the peninsula with war exercises.

Its stand and attitude toward the dialogue would serve as a touchstone showing whether it wishes peace in Northeast Asia and denuclearization on the peninsula.
