S. Korea Urged to Accept DPRK's Proposal

Pyongyang, January 18 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Party of Romania issued a statement on Jan. 12 in support of the joint statement of the government, political parties and organizations of the DPRK.

Dialogue and negotiations are the only way for defusing the tension of the Korean Peninsula and averting the danger of a war, the statement said.

The important proposal made in the joint statement fully reflects the desire of all Koreans to lead an independent and peaceful life as a homogenous nation, it said, adding:

We support the DPRK's efforts to thaw the present tension in a peaceful way through dialogue and negotiations and urge the south Korean authorities to respond to its reasonable proposal without delay.
