US Accused of Wire-pulling S. Korea-Japan Military Talks
Pyongyang, January 17 (KCNA) -- The U.S. was behind south Korea-Japan defence ministerial talks that took place in Seoul to conclude a bilateral military agreement, the Federation of Koreans in the U.S. said in a commentary on Jan. 12.

It accused the U.S. of contemplating driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war.

It pointed out that south Korea and Japan have boosted their military nexus according to the U.S. scenario.

The military alliance among the U.S., Japan and south Korea being knocked into shape at a faster pace with the U.S. backing threatens peace and stability in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of Northeast Asia, the commentary added.

It urged the U.S. to positively opt for creating the atmosphere of the north-south dialogue, not stirring up a war.
