S. Korea-Japan Military Nexus Condemned
Pyongyang, January 14 (KCNA) -- South Korea and Japan are trying to reach an agreement on protection of military secret and mutual provision of logistic support, according to a joint statement issued by the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea and the New Socialist Party of Japan.

The Defense ministers of south Korea and Japan have had talks in Seoul from Jan. 10 under the pretext of "intensified regional security", according to the Jan. 11 statement.

The U.S. is behind the talks, a dangerous act aimed at justifying Japan's ambition for militarism, said the statement.

The statement demanded the south Korean and Japanese authorities stop at once the move threatening peace.

At least 20 civic and public organizations of south Korea held a rally in Seoul on Jan. 9 to condemn the authorities' military tie-up with Japan. They include the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and the Society of April Revolution.
