S. Korean Organization Urged Authorities to Accept DPRK's Proposal
Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The present "government" of south Korea should accept the DPRK's proposal for north-south dialogue. This was urged by the South Headquarters of the Pan-national Alliance for Korea's Reunification in a statement on Jan. 7. The same urge was made by the Media Headquarters and the Academic Headquarters of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration in a joint statement issued on the same day.

The South Headquarters said in the statement: The "government" should face up to the reality, open-heartedly accept the north's proposal for dialogue and opt for dialogue and negotiations. If it refuses to accept the proposal, it cannot but be accused of being a war criminal and sycophant.

It stressed that the South Headquarters would make all efforts to help all the political parties and organizations positively respond to the north's proposal.

The Media Headquarters and the Academic Headquarters in their joint statement said that peace and prosperity of the Korean Peninsula are possible only through dialogue and negotiations.

The statement urged the present "government" to roll back its policy of confrontation, opt for dialogue with the north and positively push ahead with the moves to resume the tour of Mt. Kumgang and boost economic cooperation and exchange, etc.
