S. Korea Urged to Come out for Dialogue with DPRK
Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- Organizations of Switzerland and India and an official of an international organization expressed support for the joint statement of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations.

The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea in a joint statement on Jan. 6 said that the joint statement of the DPRK is very just as it was prompted by the noble aim to save the north-south relations from collapse and achieve the reunification of the country.

The statement noted that if all the Koreans in the north and the south opt for talks in the patriotic spirit and common interests, irrespective of ideology and political view, the danger of a war will be removed from the Korean Peninsula and the independent and peaceful reunification of the country be achieved.

The All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association in a statement on the same day urged the south Korean authorities to immediately accept the important proposal of the DPRK government, political parties and organizations for defusing the grave danger of a war prevailing on the Korean Peninsula, preserving peace and achieving the reunification of the country and opt for dialogue and negotiations without delay.

Vishwanath, director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea, in a statement on Jan. 6 said that the dialogue and negotiations proposed by the DPRK to the south Korean authorities, political parties and organizations is a landmark and important step to defuse the tensions on the Korean Peninsula and open a bright prospect for Korea's reunification.

The confrontation which may lead to armed clash and war can never improve the present north-south relations, the statement said, urging the south Korean authorities, political parties and organizations to positively respond to the DPRK's proposal and not to miss this golden opportunity.
