Japan's Sycophant Policy toward US Blasted
Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- The approval rating for Naoto Kan, Prime Minister of Japan, has reached the lowest. The support rate for the ruling Democratic Party of Japan markedly sank as compared with that in the past.

Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun Monday said:

The fate of the Kan cabinet and the Democratic Party is like a candle flickering in the wind as they are forsaken by the people. This is a natural product of their reactionary, humiliating and sycophantic policy toward the U.S.

What policy the authorities pursue toward the U.S. and what stand they take toward the issue of the U.S. military bases in Japan, in particular, serve as a barometer of the mindset of the people towards them.

It is the Kan cabinet that is mulling offering the whole of Japan as an advance base and the most vital stronghold of the U.S. for carrying out its Asia strategy for aggression, while covering huge expenses for transferring the U.S. military base in Futenma to Henoko.

The Kan cabinet is letting loose a spate of foolish remarks that the presence of U.S. troops in Japan is required for the "security" of Japan. Worse still, it let the SDF stage the largest-ever joint military exercises with the U.S. forces in Japan.

The above-said policy of the Kan cabinet is tarnishing the image of Japan and bringing damage to its people.

One is bound to die a dry death if one enforces a sycophantic policy towards the U.S., quite contrary to the people's mind-set. This is a bitter lesson drawn from the history of Japanese politics devoid of independence.
