The statement said:

The DPRK instituted the Socialist Constitution 38 years back, thereby declaring that it is the best socialist system free from exploitation and oppression.

Being a unique constitution of Juche, it provides a legal guarantee for the socialist construction in the DPRK and lays down a Juche-oriented line and policy on nation-building.

It stipulates that the DPRK is a revolutionary state guided by the Juche idea and the Songun idea and the state sovereignty belongs to the workers, peasants and intellectuals.

Unlike bourgeois lawmakers a deputy to the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly is responsible for his or her work before the people and is liable to be recalled when he or she lost their trust according to the constitution.

The constitution ensures independence and creative nature of the people of the DPRK.

According to the constitution every citizen of the DPRK enjoys all legal rights including the rights to rest, job, free medical service and education something unimaginable in the capitalist countries.

December 27 every year is celebrated as the Constitution Day in the DPRK.

The Socialist Constitution of the DPRK legally guarantees the building of a great prosperous and powerful socialist nation of Juche.

It also greatly encourages the world progressives in their struggle for independence and socialism.
