New Swellfish Cooking Methods
Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang Public Service School has developed new swellfish cooking methods.

After making researches for preparing dishes with swellfish, it has completed methods of removing poison from the fish and cooking it, free from impure smell.

The school, based on the methods, invented hundreds of swellfish dishes, including sliced raw fish, salad, soup, roast, boiled dry and fry.

Typical of the dishes is sliced raw swellfish. With the rest of the fish pot-boiled soup can be prepared. It is one of good dishes in winter.

Swellfish has long been considered tasty and nutritive fish.

According to Tonguibogam (Encyclopedia of Traditional Medicine of Korea) compiled in 1610, swellfish is good for weakness, lumbago, hemorrhoids and extermination of vermin.
