Floral Tribute Paid to Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, anti-Japanese war hero, at the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Friday on the occasion of her 93rd birth anniversary.

Seen before the bust was a wreath sent by Kim Jong Il, general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea, chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission and supreme commander of the Korean People's Army.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were senior party, army and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, leading officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the KPA and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces, people from all walks of life and school youth and children in Pyongyang.

Laid there were wreaths in the name of the WPK Central Committee, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet, the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, KPA units, educational and media organs, the Joint National Organization of the Korean Children's Union, party and power organs, factories and farms in Pyongyang, etc.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Jong Suk who glorified her revolutionary noble life by devotedly defending the leader, holding him in high esteem as the great sun, and performed undying exploits by giving steady continuity to Kim Il Sung's nation.

Floral baskets were placed before her statues in Kim Jong Suk County and Hoeryong City and at Kim Jong Suk Naval University and Kim Jong Suk General Military Academy on the same day.

Meanwhile, Jo Il Min, chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, and its members placed bouquets before her bust on the same day.

The military attaches corps here also paid floral tribute to her bust on the day.
