DPRK-targeted War Maneuvers Protested
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- British organizations made public a joint statement on Dec. 18 to denounce the U.S. and the south Korean puppet authorities for driving the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of a war.

They are the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association.

Accusing the south Korean puppet forces of scheme to ignite a war which will only invite their self-destruction, the statement expressed full support for the just stand of the Korean People's Army that it would make strong retaliation against the moves of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppet authorities.

The Bangladesh Institute of the Juche Idea released a statement on the same day in support of the Dec. 16 statement issued by a spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry.

The situation on the Korean Peninsula remains tense and dialogue fails to open due to the hostile policy toward the DPRK and the wild ambition for invasion pursued by the U.S. in systematic violation of international agreements, the statement pointed out.

It strongly demanded that the U.S. and the south Korean puppet forces promptly stop all the military exercises threatening peace on the peninsula and the U.S. roll back its hostile policy toward the DPRK.
