S. Korean Minister of Unification's Reckless Remarks Slammed
Pyongyang, December 15 (KCNA) -- South Korean puppet minister of Unification Hyon In Thaek in his appearance at a recent "academic meeting" let loose a spate of outbursts seriously getting on the nerves of the DPRK, talking about "the last option" and the like as regards the Yonphyong Island shelling incident.

Minju Joson Wednesday says in a signed commentary in this regard:

This goes to prove his sinister intention to pass the buck for the Yonphyong Island shelling incident on to the DPRK and steadily push forward the policy to escalate the moves for confrontation and war, while further aggravating the inter-Korean relations under the pretext of it.

Clarifying the background against which the incident took place, the commentary observes that it was the south Korean puppet forces that made the last option.

It goes on:

The south Korean ultra-right conservative forces put up the watchword "no nukes, opening and 3000 dollars" as their "policy toward the north" after their seizure of power in total denial of the inter-Korean joint declarations and have since rushed headlong into increased dependence on foreign forces and escalated confrontation with fellow countrymen.

The Yonphyong Island shelling incident was orchestrated as part of those moves to escalate the confrontation with fellow countrymen. This incident goes to clearly prove in practice what is the policy of escalating the confrontation with fellow countrymen pursued by the south Korean authorities.

It is the unanimous view of the publics at home and abroad that the south Korean authorities are the most disgraceful loser in this incident.

The moves are backfiring quite contrary to their intention.

No wonder, views were openly expressed even by minions of the south Korean ruling forces that officials in charge of diplomacy and security including Hyon In Thaek should be replaced.

Much upset by this development, he cried out for "carving out future on the Korean Peninsula with the initiative on the part of south Korea" with "freedom, democracy and market economy" as "values" and "establishing sound inter-Korean relations on the basis of stable security with the firm will to build 'a new house,'" not content with vociferating about "the last option".

Hyon thus made the last option disclosing his sinister intention to escalate the confrontation with fellow countrymen to the last.

It is not hard to guess what Hyon would get from the last option.
