Rimyongsu Falls Turns into Ice Falls in Winter
Pyongyang, December 13 (KCNA) -- Rimyongsu Falls in Samjiyon County, Ryanggang Province, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, presents a fantastic scenery in the winter season.

Nearby trees are frosted by the spray of the waterfall and water streams come out from between icicles of the ice-covered cliff.

The waterfall is 15 metres high and 27 metres wide.

Underground water gushes out through basalt cracks to consist of five main streams with many small streams going down between the five streams.

The water from the falls flows to the Rimyongsu Barrage.

The waterfall gives different seasonal views with azaleas in spring, thick foliage in summer and red leaves in autumn going well with the cascade, rocks and lake.

Above the waterfall, registered as a natural product, is a cosy pavilion.
