Burundian President Meets DPRK Ambassador

| Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- President of Burundi Pierre Nkurunziza recollected with deep emotion the full support and encouragement President Kim Il Sung sent to Burundi in its struggle for independence and development in the past, while receiving credentials from DPRK Ambassador to Burundi Jong Thae Yang on Nov. 30. He congratulated General Secretary Kim Jong Il on the 19th anniversary of his assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, adding that the DPRK has built strong military capability and enforced independent politics under his Songun leadership. He expressed his hope for having cooperation with the DPRK in various fields in the future. |
