Entries into National Prize Contest of Greening Layouts Exhibited
Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of entries into the national prize contest of greening layouts took place at the Grand People's Study House on December 7 and 8.

On display at the exhibition were more than 250 layouts presented by the Paektusan Architectural Institute, the Mansudae Art Studio, the Pyongyang Horticulture Guidance Bureau, the City Management Research Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, Pyongyang University of Construction and Building-Materials Industry, Wonsan University of Agriculture, etc.

The exhibition was divided into greening layouts for revolutionary sites, major squares, spots, parks, recreation grounds and residential districts and those for big potted flower stands and small structures.

Appreciated by the participants were at least 60 greening layouts including the one for the road in front of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the one for potted flower stands at the entrance to the Pyongyang-Hyangsan Tourist Road, the one for the tower to the immortality of President Kim Il Sung and layouts for residential districts and parks.

A closing ceremony took place on Dec. 8.

Hwang Hak Won, minister of Urban Management, in his closing speech called for positively introducing excellent layouts into realities in an effort to turn the country into a more beautiful socialist land of bliss good to live in.
