Speeches were made by Kim Sang Gun, permanent representative of the South Side Committee for Implementing June 15 Joint Declaration, O Jong Ryol, permanent advisor to the Solidarity for Progress, and Ri Kang Sil, permanent co-representative of the solidarity who is wife of Rev. Han, at the event.

The speakers accused the authorities of persecuting pro-reunification champion Rev. Han after detaining him at the Seoul Prison on charges of the violation of the "National Security Law" though he conducted activities to preserve and implement the June 15 joint declaration and achieve national reconciliation, cooperation and reunification.

They stressed that people from all walks of life would stage actions in demand of the release of Rev. Han.
