The bulletin said in an article that the DPRK's economy which faced difficulties owing to the extreme sanctions and blockade of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces and consecutive years of natural disasters in the closing years of the last century has weathered the hardships in a brief span of time, putting an economic power on the horizon.

A master key to unfolding such eye-opening reality in the DPRK is that it has fully met the requirements of the Juche idea in economic construction, the bulletin noted, adding that the DPRK has laid a new economic foundation and conducted the technological updating as required by the 21st century by its own efforts and with its own technology.

The bulletin gave a detailed account of the fact that the DPRK is producing machines and equipment requiring a high level of technology with its own technology.

The Korean people have long made strenuous efforts to cement the foundation of the independent national economy, regarding it a fundamental principle to build an economy which stands on its own feet, not subject to others, an economy serving them and making progress relying on their resources and efforts, stressed the bulletin.
