Kim Jong Il Inspects Newly Built Soy Sauce Shop at Ryongsong
Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il provided field guidance to the newly built Soy Sauce Shop at the Ryongsong Foodstuff Factory.

After being briefed on the technical features of the newly built shop, he went round various places including the processes equipped with cutting-edge facilities for producing soy sauce, processed salt, powdered meat and ham to learn in detail about its construction and production there.

It is a great success that the workers of the factory and soldier- builders have successfully built the modern shop as big as a food processing factory in a short span of time, he noted, expressing great satisfaction over the construction of a model shop which can represent the era of Songun.

Noting that the shop was built at such a high level of quality and its technical equipment reached a cutting-edge level, he underscored the need to build even a factory in such a manner that it may stand impeccable even in the distant future.

Pointing out that the new shop established a new and peculiar system of producing soy sauce, essential food for Koreans' diet, by use of ferment, high polymer protein, not by a traditional or chemical method, he stressed that this is tantamount to having pushed back the frontiers of the latest science and technology in the production of essential food.

The shop laid a new processed salt production line by introducing ultra-modern technology, thereby providing a solid foundation for producing varieties of salt for diverse use and various kinds of seasoning salt for the people, he said, highly appreciating the efforts made by the officials, workers and technicians.

The factory could effect a new turn in the production of essential food as its officials, workers and technicians have dynamically waged a mass technical innovation movement true to the WPK's idea of pushing back the frontiers of the latest science and technology while planting their feet on their land and looking at the world, he said, adding that this signal turn is a striking demonstration of the validity and vitality of the WPK's policy on taking hold on science and technology as a lifeline for building an economic power.

Noting that the factory is a model for the whole country not only in the work to put the production processes on a modern and scientific basis but also in establishing cultured practices in production and life, he called upon all the units to earnestly learn from it.

He set forth the highly important tasks to be carried out by the shop to manage and operate itself.

He expressed great expectation and conviction that the officials, workers and technicians of the factory would perform new miracles and feats in the production of foodstuff and thus creditably play their role as a pace-setter, vanguard and shock brigade in the sacred drive to improve the standard of people's living.

He was accompanied by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the WPK, Kim Kuk Thae, member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and chairman of the Control Commission of the Party Central Committee, Choe Thae Bok and Hong Sok Hyong, members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Kim Kyong Hui, member of the Political Bureau and department director of the C.C., the WPK, Jang Song Thaek, alternate member of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the WPK and vice-chairman of the NDC, Pak To Chun, Choe Ryong Hae and Thae Jong Su, alternate members of the Political Bureau and secretaries of the C.C., the WPK, Mun Kyong Dok, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the C.C., the WPK and chief secretary of the Pyongyang City Committee of the WPK, Ju Kyu Chang, alternate member of the Political Bureau and department director of the C.C., the WPK, Pak Jong Sun, alternate member of the Political Bureau and first vice
