Hyon Pyong Chol's Anti-Human Rights Activities Protested
Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- Members of organizations affiliated to the Human Rights Committee of south Korea resigned one after another at a time when its some permanent and non-permanent members stepped down en masse in protest against the anti-human rights activities of its Chairman Hyon Pyong Chol, according to the Nov. 15 issue of south Korean newspaper Hangyore.

The present chief executive informally designated a lawyer subservient to the "government" as permanent member of the committee, in particular, touching off deeper distrust in it.

57 experts, consultants and members of the advisory council of the committee held a press conference that day in connection with the above-said resignation at which they declared no action to prevent human rights abuses can be expected as long as the present chief executive and his cat's paw Hyon Pyong Chol are allowed to stay in office.

Meanwhile, civic, social and human rights organizations and people from all walks of life vow to launch actions to force Hyon to step down.
