New Distance Lecture System Established
Pyongyang, November 14 (CKAN) -- A new distance lecture system was established to help the people in the DPRK in their study.

The Grand People's Study House made it possible for people to receive distance lectures through people's study houses, libraries and scientific and educational institutions in provinces, cities and counties.

Officials and researchers of the Grand People's Study House and the Joint Information Institute of the State Academy of Sciences developed a Korean-style distance lecture system and developed and introduced a two-way distance lecture system which can be operated under any computer operation system in a short span of time.

Developers confirmed the number of the subscribers for simultaneous real-time distance lectures on the basis of measurement of server and communication load under different conditions and provided the subscribers with convenience in using the contents of lectures in the database.

People's study houses in different provinces including Jagang and North Hwanghae provinces and libraries in cities and counties have already made full arrangements for receiving distance lectures from the Grand People's Study House by use of high-speed information system provided by optical fiber communication. This has paved the way for putting the people's educational system on the latest science and technology.

Under the new distance lecture system the subscribers can have real time exchange of various images, sound and documents.

Thanks to the establishment of the new distance lecture system which puts main emphasis on the lectures based on real-time dialogue while providing the subscribers with opportunities to review what had been lectured anytime necessary, working people and students across the country can receive distance lectures in diverse ways according to their study plans.
