Story of Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, November 10 (KCNA) -- One September day in Juche 60 (1971) General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the Chongbong Bivouac.

Seeing all slogans written on barked trees by revolutionary fighters when they billeted there during the anti-Japanese armed struggle, he said that they were very important things and that some other countries preserved only several documents concerning the struggle guided by the working-class leaders and boasted of them but the Korean people had many slogan-bearing trees much more significant than them.

He then said the trees in the bivouac were assets of the country more valuable than anything else in the world, so they should be preserved well.

Reflected in his remark was his noble intention to convey down through generations the slogan-bearing trees related to the glorious revolutionary history and undying feats of President Kim Il Sung.
