DPRK Aerial Stunt Wins Top Prize
Pyongyang, November 9 (KCNA) -- The DPRK aerial stunt "Flight over Iron Bar" was awarded the Golden Crane Prize, the top prize, at the 9th Wuhan International Acrobatic Festival held in Wuhan of China from October 30 to November 4.

The festival brought together famous circuses and acrobats from more than 20 countries including the DPRK, China, Russia, Mongolia and Brazil. Put on the stage of the festival were 25 excellent numbers.

The Pyongyang Circus presented aerial stunt "Flight over Iron Bar" and balancing stunt "Pride of Scaffold Workers" representing the wisdom, spirit and fruitful work of the Korean people.

In "Flight over Iron Bar" DPRK acrobats successfully performed such complicated and difficult movements as treble flip-flap with three side turns and four back turns, winning the admiration from the members of the festival jury and spectators.

In "Pride of Scaffold Workers" acrobats built a four-layer pyramid on their shoulders standing on a single wheel before crossing a wire to be acclaimed by the spectators for presenting high technique and refined skill.

The Golden Crane Prize went to the DPRK aerial stunt "Flight over Iron Bar" flawless and refined in its technique and artistry and the Silver Crane Prize to the balancing stunt "Pride of Scaffold Workers."
