General Secretary Kim Jong Il, while giving field guidance to the North Phyongan Provincial Chicken Farm, the Sokjong Pig Farm and the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm in October and November last year, underlined the need to make an effective use of the ring-shaped cyclic production system in the agricultural sector.

The September 27 Chicken Farm has turned out more than ten tons of organic fertilizers a day to increase the fertility of its fodder plots. It has also raised ducks and pigs with protein feed made of chickens' excrements.

The Kosan, Onchon, Sariwon and other fruit farms and co-op farms with greenhouse-shaped pigsties have benefited from the system in the output of fruits, grains, vegetables and livestock.

Scores of stockbreeding farms based on the system have made their appearances on the Miru Plain.

Paekam County, Ryanggang Province, has turned into a big potato producer with stockbreeding farms built on a modern line.
