The officials of the young generation of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and patriotic Korean youth, cherishing the faith of Juche, have firmly built their organizations at various levels and made a great contribution to rallying broad strata of young Koreans under the banner of patriotism even under the grim situation where the reactionaries inside and outside Japan have become undisguised in their suppression and obstructions.

Recalling that Chongryon has developed into a powerful organization with its roots struck deep among the compatriots, demonstrating the dignity and stamina as a genuine organization of overseas compatriots of the DPRK, the message stressed that this is associated with the boundless devotion and noble efforts of the above-said officials and young Koreans.

It went on:

The Presidium of the SPA of the DPRK is pleased and highly appreciates the officials of the young generation of Chongryon and young Koreans for having dynamically advanced the patriotic work of Chongryon and the movement of the Koreans in Japan generation after generation with the single-minded ardent loyalty to their leader, country and organization.

The organizations of the young generation of Chongryon should channel bigger efforts into the work to establish the ideological system, the leadership system of Juche within the organizations at all levels, thus helping the young Koreans give invariable and steady continuity to the patriotic tradition and spirit associated with the noble soul of the patriotic forerunners who remained loyal to their leader and country.

The organizations of the young generation should build their organizations into well-regulated ones in each area where young Koreans live, rally more ones around them and organize in a unique manner varieties of mass movements suited to the characteristics of the younger generation so that the Korean community may always pervade with patriotic enthusiasm and national emotion of young Koreans.

The young Koreans in Japan should do more good things conducive to achieving the prosperity of the motherland and its independent reunification and deepening the friendship with the Japanese people.

The Presidium of the SPA of the DPRK firmly believes that the festival of young Koreans in Japan will mark an occasion in bringing about a significant change in giving fullest play to the wisdom and enthusiasm of the overseas young Koreans to usher in a new heyday of the movement of Koreans in Japan and successfully carrying forward and developing the patriotic work of Chongryon.
