National Program Contest and Exhibition Closed
Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- The 21st national program contest and exhibition, which opened on October 28, was closed with due ceremony at the Three-Revolution Exhibition Thursday.

In the period, there were contests and exhibitions of various programs including the program for translating English into Korean, IT service, etc.

In the section of exhibition the Ministry of Foreign Trade, the Ministry of Metal Industry and others were highly estimated for having distinguished themselves in putting the management and production processes on a computer basis. Meanwhile Kim Chaek University of Technology and the Pyongyang Information Center proved successful in the section of contest.

High appreciation went to those who developed the programs conducive to updating of production processes at the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, including the putting of confectionary production process on a CNC basis.

Present at the closing ceremony were Choe Thae Bok, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Jon Ha Chol, vice-premier of the Cabinet, Kim Yong Jin, chairman of the Education Commission, Ri Ja Bang, chairman of the State Science and Technology Commission, officials concerned and program developers.

Ri Ja Bang made a closing address.
