Foodstuff, Daily Necessities Production on Rise
Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Workers and technicians of foodstuff and daily necessities industries have taken the lead in the effort for the improvement of the people's living after greeting the historic conference of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 65th anniversary of the WPK with increased production.

The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, encouraged by General Secretary Kim Jong Il's August field guidance, has boosted the output of cookies with its production processes updated in a short span of time with the help of scientists.

The Taedonggang Foodstuff Factory and the Kyongryon Aeguk Soda Pop Mill have topped their monthly targets and steadily improved the quality of products on the basis of latest science and technologies and through a mass technological innovation movement.

Foodstuff factories across the country, including the Kanggye Essential Foodstuff Factory, Hoeryong Essential Foodstuff Factory, Changsong Foodstuff Factory and Samjiyon Soy and Bean Paste Factory, have increased the variety of essential foodstuffs and processed foodstuffs with locally available raw materials.

The Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory, in the revolutionary spirit of self-reliance and the spirit of devoted service for the people, has pushed ahead with technological updating, keeping all the production processes operated at full capacity.

The Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory has introduced valuable technical findings in production to improve the quality of the products.
