S. Korean Organizations Vow to Struggle against Discrimination against Workers
Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Seoul on October 30 under the sponsorship of the Committee for Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Death of Young Jon Thae Il.

It was attended by at least 6,000 members of civic and social organizations grouping people of various strata including the Confederation of Trade Unions, the Citizens' Solidarity for Democratic Society and the Solidarity for Progress.

Speakers said at the meeting that the irregular workers have staged a strenuous struggle against the anti-worker policy pursued by the "government".

They declared the will of the workers to go united and wage a positive struggle to build a society without irregular jobs and a society free from discrimination against workers in the future.

Then followed an art performance in commemoration of martyr Jon Thae Il.

The Confederation of Trade Unions held a meeting of workers for the abolition of irregular jobs on the same day.
