Rodong Sinmun Sunday observes in a signed commentary carried in this regard:

This is vituperation which triggers off resentment of the people of the DPRK as it is an indication of the extreme hostility toward the DPRK.

What matters is that those virulent outcries are not revelation of his private intention only.

It is already known that the theory of the "principal enemy" which faded away long ago emerged again after the present authorities took office in south Korea.

This has been stipulated in documents by some part of the military.

This shows that the present regime of south Korea is the group seized with hostility toward the DPRK and a group of traitors keen on confrontation and war.

In actuality, the conservative group has persistently committed the moves for a war of aggression against the north in collusion with foreign forces while chilling the mounting spirit of the south Korean people for reunification through alliance with the north and whipping up the atmosphere of confrontation.

Recently, it made a fuss calling for defining the north as the "principal enemy" in the "defense white paper", grumbling that the "Cheonan" case fabricated by them was the "result caused by the delete of the phrases of the principal enemy".

The situation proves that the south Korean authorities, in reality, still remain unchanged in pursuing confrontation and war despite their lip-service to "dialogue".

The racket of the "principal enemy" kicked up by the south Korean warmongers should be stopped at once.

If those confrontational maniacs continue to commit such provocative acts as the racket of the "principal enemy" while pursuing only the ambition to invade the north, far from reconciliation and cooperation with the fellow countrymen, the tension on the Korean Peninsula will never ease and the inter-Korean relations can never escape catastrophe.

The DPRK will resolutely cope with the conservative group if it persists in the moves for confrontation between the north and the south and a war of aggression against the north, quite contrary to the trend of the times.
