Anniversary of WPK Commemorated
Pyongyang, October 15 (KCNA) -- Seminars were held in Russia, Ethiopia and Uganda and by the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement on Oct. 6 and 7 in celebration of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and its 65th birthday.

Displayed in their venues were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and books introducing their immortal exploits.

The chairman of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia said that Kim Jong Il set a grandiose goal for opening the gate to a thriving nation in 2012 marking the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung and is leading the Korean people in the efforts to hit the goal.

The secretary general of the Ethiopian Youth Study Group of the Juche Idea said that Kim Jong Il's reelection as general secretary of the WPK represented the absolute support and confidence of all the party members and other Korean people in him and reflected the steadfast faith and will to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started by the President under his leadership.

The executive assistant to the general secretary of the Pan-African Movement praised Kim Jong Il as the prominent leader enjoying the absolute support and trust from all the people.

Meanwhile, meetings took place in Bulgaria, South Africa and Romania on Oct. 3 and 6 to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the WPK.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the events in Russia, Ethiopia, Bulgaria and South Africa.
