The WPK founded by President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, has a glorious revolutionary tradition.

The WPK has led the Korean people for a long period, making noticeable steady successes in the cause of socialist revolution and construction by overcoming difficulties through fortitude.

The WPK headed by you general secretary has led the Korean people true to the behest of President Kim Il Sung, steadily and actively exploring the path of development suited to the actual conditions of Korea and registering one joyful success after another in the efforts to accomplish the cause of building Korean style socialism over the last several years.

We as a friendly neighbor, close comrade and genuine friend sincerely hope that the Korean people will continue to register fresh, greater successes in the historic course of building a thriving nation under the leadership of the WPK headed by you general secretary.

In recent years the Sino-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations have steadily grown stronger thanks to the utmost importance attached by the two sides to them and the joint efforts exerted by the peoples of the two countries and made important contributions to promoting the cause of socialist construction in the two countries.

The CPC sets great store by the traditional Sino-DPRK friendship and regards it as a consistent policy to steadily consolidate and develop the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation.
