Displayed in the venue packed with Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias were photos and books dealing with the facts that these famous flowers were awarded gold prizes and top prizes at world horticultural expos and international flower shows.

Present at the opening ceremony were personages of different strata and Chinese in Hunchun and Yanji Cities of China and Koreans in China. Present there on invitation were the DPRK consul general in Shenyang and officials of the DPRK concerned staying in China.

Speeches were made at the ceremony.

Yang Hongzhun, general manager of the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse in Hunchun, said that Kimilsungias and Kimjongilias are the flowers that came into being in this world in praise of the great persons, representing the boundless reverence of the world progressives for President Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people, and Kim Jong Il, chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, who made great contributions to accomplishing global independence.

Warmly greeting the 65th birthday of the WPK, he expressed belief that the current show would mark an important occasion in keeping the friendship between the two countries evergreen.
