Letter from Participants of Int'l Committee
Pyongyang, October 7 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a letter from the participants of the inaugural ceremony of the international preparatory committee for commemorating the centenary of birth of President Kim Il Sung held in Copenhagen on Oct. 2.

The letter said that it is unanimous desire and wish of the world progressives to splendidly commemorate the centenary of birth of the President who commands boundless reverence as a distinguished thinker and theoretician, an outstanding political activist, an invincible strategist and a great sage possessed of noble charisma born in the 20th century for the great feats he performed for the human cause of independence.

The participants, recognizing in unison the necessity of unified coordination to intensify the commemoration activities now brisk worldwide, formed the preparatory committee and adopted a declaration reflecting the action program to be taken till April in 2012, the letter noted, and went on:

The DPRK has demonstrated its might to the whole world as a country of Juche, a country of Songun, weathering all challenges and difficulties of history entirely thanks to the independent policy, bold decision and tested and experienced leadership of Kim Jong Il.

His reelection as general secretary of the WPK at its recent Conference was an expression of the Korean people's boundless reverence and respect and unquestioned trust in him, and all the world progressives are rejoiced over this, extending warm congratulations to him.

The preparatory committee will organize more splendid and colorful political and cultural events worldwide till significant April in 2012 to hand down to posterity the greatness and immortal exploits of the President and thus fulfill the mission and dusty it assumed before the times and history.
